I just had the same problem with ASUS M2N-E. Only, at connecting ATX connector, on Front panel PS_ON was 0.35V. After changing IT8716F-S BXS, nothing was diferent. I start to change supply transistors when I red Droza`s post and his solution.
I found the transistor that droza suggested, only it was not 0 26L but s72.
After taking off that transistor I got 5V on Front panel PS_ON, and MOBO start normaly.
Since author did not reply to Traffa`s question of consequences of absence of that tyransistor I can say that nothing is missing. BIOS changes can be stored and saved normaly.
Does anibody know what this transistor is does?
