This MOBO is not turning on without CPU present. Only start for 2 seconds and turning off. With CPU on it, it turns on but not giving any POST codes. It hangs on FF.
Normal? Is it taking CPU voltage for North and wont work without it?
On "карту напряжений на аналогичной плате" I found referent voltages and all are OK. No Shorts on USB and nothing is heating. BIOS flashed.
Are you press to the cooler before and in time start mobo?
I changed ITE8712F-A GXC without effect. Now I saw that there is no RESET on PCI A15. On IDE 1 and Front panel SW there is 3.2V.
I`ll try to track where is this RESET going. Maybe it leed to solution.
Maco, You were right. It`s not normal.
I found wery hot Firewire controller chip TSB43AB23. After I took off this chip MOBO started normaly but only with FSB400 CPU-s. Then I put back original ITE8712F-A GXC and FSB533 CPU-s start to work.
Now there is BIOS problem. In POST there is MOBO identification as IP1000P-G BIOS version F4. On this MOBO is marking 8IPE1000 V3.1
When I start to flash BIOS flasher said that I`m attempting to flash 256k BIOS into 512k EPROM. And he is right! BIOS for this MOBO is 256k and EPROM is 512k.
Maybe there was additional sticker on MOBO that was riped off simetimes?
Or GA-8IPE1000 Pro-G? But it have dual ROM.
Marking on MOBO is evidently wrong. Acording to Gigabyte website it is GA-8IPE1000 Pro-G dual ROM.
I had problem with sound and I tried to solve it by flashing BIOS- it didn`t help:(
Then I changed ALC650 and there was sound:)
So, main problem with MOBO was burned Firewire chip and bad ALC650.
Т.е. умерли оба? И Firewire, и звук?
А кому счас легко...
Yes. Firewire was that hot I couldn`t hold finger on it. Before hese taking of MOBO behaving very strangely. After that there was normal work but without sound. ALC650 was not hot but evidently broken since hese change made sonud to work.
